Da Nang (VNA) - Administrative reform outcomes in the central city of Da Nang have helped the city secure foreign investors’ confidence, contributing to attracting more FDI in the locality. According to the municipal Department of Home Affairs, Da Nang has simplified more than 300 administrative procedures over the past 10 years while implementing 15 projects linking procedures in different sectors and shortening the time for responding to administrative requests by 20 percent in many areas. Thanks to this success, the city has enjoyed fruitful results in FDI attraction. Most recently, authorities granted an investment licence to a semiconductor manufacturing project worth 110 million USD - the second largest foreign-invested project at the Da Nang Hi-tech Park. HCM City wants to foster ties with India
HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City wants to continue to be an important partner of India in the fields of economy-trade, health care, information technology and clean energy, said Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Phan Thi Thang. During a ceremony marking the 72nd anniversary of India’s Republic Day held by the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on January 26, Thang said with161 projects worth over 74 million USD, India is now placed 25th out of 110 countries and territories investing in the city. Two-way trade reached nearly 1.5 billion USD last year. Attention was paid to holding exchange, economic-cultural and education cooperation activities each year. Toyota Mobility Foundation Announces Six Finalists for the City Architecture for Tomorrow Challenge
Despite the continuing impact of COVID-19, the CATCH program progressed through the application stage in May, receiving over 90 entries from 20+ countries. Then the Semi-Finalist stage finished in December. In this stage with tremendous support and insights from our strategic and data partners, the Semi-Finalists obtained an understanding of Kuala Lumpur's mobility issues for their Proof of Concept (PoC) development over a 6-week period. An esteemed panel of 8 judges from various fields of expertise such as government, sustainable mobility, venture capital, technology, and industry virtually assessed the 16 Semi-Finalists. After careful consideration and based on the feedback from the judges, TMF identified six teams as Finalists rather than five teams as originally planned.
