Hanoi launches city decoration and lighting campaign

A campaign seeking ideas for Hanoi's street decoration and lighting for this year has been launched by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports. Hanoi Book Street given facelift during Tet

The Hanoi Book Street was given a facelift from February 14 to 21 as part of the city's activities to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) festival. 2021 Spring Book Street takes place in Hanoi from February 14 to 21 (ie from the 3rd day to the 10th day of the first lunar month), introducing books of different genres to visitors in celebration of the Lunar New Year. Hanoi reports case of COVID-19 relapse

COVID-19 testing (Photo: VNA) Hanoi - A patient has tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 again after being given the all-clear, the Hanoi Centre of Disease Control (CDC Hanoi) said on February 25. The 48-year-old patient, who resides in Dich Vong ward in Cau Giay district, has been taken to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases for further quarantine and treatment. The case does not pose any risk of community transmission, Deputy Director of CDC Hanoi Khong Minh Tuan said. Hanoi had reported 36 COVID-19 cases between January 27 and 12pm on February 25, according to the municipal Department of Health. Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung said relevant agencies have been asked to assess infection risks and put forward solutions to reach the “new normal”. Hanoi launches tree-planting festival on New Year of Bufallo

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The launching ceremony of a tree-planting festival on the Lunar New Year was held in Hanoi on February 21 as part of this year’s efforts in response to the Government’s programme on planting 1 billion trees to 2025. Addressing the launching event, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh said tree planting has remained as the city’s annual programme. Planting a tree is just the beginning; it is more important to take good care of it and let them grow well, he said, adding that it is a responsibility of everybody. Hanoi remains favorite destination for FDI amid Covid-19

The Hanoitimes - The city will accelerate the establishment of an e-government model to create more convenience for the business community in realizing administrative procedures. Hanoi targets to attract US$30-40 billion in FDI in the 2021-25 period, in which the city is expected to disburse US$20-30 billion, according to the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPI).
