And in one extreme case, a German national who has served his sentence is happy to stay in the prison because he feels that is now his home. HCM City has decided to keep official land prices unchanged for the next five years. VNA/VNS Photo HCM CITY – The HCM City People’s Council has kept the official land prices unchanged since market prices did not change between 2019 and last year. The price list, which is adjusted every five years, serves as a basis for calculating land-use rights fees, administrative sanctions, fines, and paying compensation for land the city acquires. According to Nguyễn Toàn Thắng, director of the city Department of Natural Resources and Environment, this is the first time the framework remains unchanged. The price coefficient is adjusted annually. Anyone seeking land-use rights or change the purpose of land use has to pay a fee based on the prevailing coefficient. The new agreement significantly expands the geographical scope to include the north, where MSB is headquartered, and make Prudential the lender’s only partner. They have been collaborating since 2013 and built a highly successful bancassurance partnership which delivered a 34 percent compounded annual growth rate in annual premium equivalent between 2014 and 2020. HCM City: early start proposed for over VND4.8 trillion traffic project Traffic congestion on Cong Hoa road The Ho Chi Minh City management board for traffic works construction and investment has urged early completion of paperwork for construction on a road linking Tran Quoc Hoan and Cong Hoa roads to begin in December. Costing more than 4.84 trillion VND (211.2 million USD), the project is slated to complete in July 2023, in conjunction with the completion of the Tan Son Nhat international airport’s Terminal 3 The project, approved in December 2019, includes the building of a six-lane 4km road, an intersection tunnel, and a 1,200m overpass in front of the Terminal 3. Apart from the project, the city also conducting procedures to implement the expansion of Hoang Hoa Tham road and upgrading of Cong Hoa road around the Tan Son Nhat airport.
