National Olympic Committee designs plan for 2021
Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam National Olympic Committee will organise various community and high-performance sport activities and prepare for the 31st SEA Games and the 11th ASEAN Para Games as well as important international sport Olympics in 2021, heard a meeting of the standing board of the committee on January 20. Addressing the event, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien, who is also Chairman of the committee, said that in the year, the committee will step up swimming training to children and students across the country to prevent drowning. The national running event for public health will continue to be organized with larger scale and higher quality, he said. Upcoming film screening to celebrate 13th National Party Congress
Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will host a film screening to celebrate the 13th National Party Congress, the 91st anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) and the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival. The Vietnam Cinema Department will join hands with relevant agencies to organise the screening nationwide from February 3 to 18. The films include “Con duong co Mat Troi” (Road with the Sun) and documentaries “Nho ve Tay Tien” (Remembering Tay Tien) and “Hanh trinh thu phap Viet” (Journey of Vietnamese calligraphy). Close to 1,000 artists to join music gala celebrating 13th National Party Congress
Hanoi (VNA) - A music gala celebrating the upcoming 13th National Party Congress is scheduled to be held at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on February 2, with the participation of nearly 1,000 artists. Artists from the National Music, Song and Dance Theatre, Voice of Vietnam (VOV), Vietnam National Academy of Music, and the Vietnam Circus Federation, will be performing at the event, according to VOV. A drum beating performance featuring the involvement of 100 drummers and 300 artists is set to open the music gala. The occasion will showcase a range of songs which praise both the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.
