Youths of Binh Dinh province respond to the “Border activities in March 2021” program
After the launching ceremony, over 200 officials and local Youth Union members cleaned up Tang Long 2 beach in Tam Quang Nam ward, Hoai Nhon town. Vietnam records 16 COVID-19 cases on February 28 afternoon
Among the new infections, 12 locally infected cases were recorded in the northern province of Hai Duong, the country's largest COVID-19 hotspot, and four imported cases were found in the southern provinces of Tay Ninh and Dong Thap. Of the total count, 1,542 were locally infected, including 849 cases since January 27. A total 1,876 COVID-19 patients have recovered so far, and the death toll remains at 35. Among those still under treatment, 62 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 53 twice and 95 thrice. Ten provinces and cities have gone through 14 consecutive days without new locally-infected cases of COVID-19. New COVID-19 infections number 13, including 8 from Hai Duong
The country’s pandemic hotspot Hai Duong in the north hosted eight of the total new cases, while the remaining five, all Vietnamese nationals, were imported and quarantined upon arrivals in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang. The eight infections in Hai Duong are F1 cases of confirmed COVID-19 patients. Six of them have been quarantined since January 28, and the rest since February 28. All are now under quarantine and treatment. Of the total cases to date, there were 1,550 domestically-transmitted cases, including 857 recorded since the latest outbreak hit Hai Duong and several other northern localities on January 27. A total 60,693 people who came in close contact with COVID-19 patients or arrived from pandemic-hit areas are under quarantine nationwide, including 560 at hospitals, 12,298 at other quarantine sites, and 47,835 at home. Man saving toddler from falling death awarded merit certificate
Chairman of Hanoi City’s People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh on March 01, 2021 promptly signed Decision No. 995/QD-UBND on granting the award. A letter from Hanoi Party Secretary Vuong Dinh Hue also acknowledged Nguyen Ngoc Manh’s brave act. On the evening of February 28, the unsupervised toddler named N.P.H climbed over the balcony of her family’s home on the 13th floor of Nguyen Huy Tuong Apartment Complex, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi. She managed to grab the railings but let go just several seconds after. At the time, Nguyen Ngoc Manh, who was on a courier run in the complex, spotted the girl and quickly climbed onto the first floor’s roof to catch her.
