Luxury cruise ship brings 3,500 foreign visitors to Vietnam By Dao Loan A view of luxury cruise ship World Dream – PHOTO: SAIGONTOURIST HCMC – Luxury cruise ship World Dream, with around 3,500 international visitors on board, docked at Tien Sa Wharf in the central coastal city of Danang this morning to start their two-day visit. This is the first time this year the ship of Genting Hong Kong’s Dream Cruises brought foreign tourists to Vietnam. It is scheduled to make a similar itinerary on November 20 and 21. Saigontourist Travel Service Company took the tourists to various places of interest in Danang, and the ancient town of Hoi An, a UNESCO-recognized World Heritage site in neighboring Quang Nam Province. Tomorrow, they are scheduled to take a sightseeing tour to Ha Long Bay, a World Heritage site in the northern province of Quang Ninh. Some visitors are also scheduled to visit the capital city of Hanoi. The cruise ship will leave the country later on the same day. In the year to September, Saigontourist had served over 280,000 tourists on board international cruise ships, a 3% rise over the year-ago period. November is among the peak season for this market segment.
