Vietjet to launch Danang-Seoul service in May
HCMC – Vietjet is moving on with a plan to launch an international route connecting Danang City and Seoul on May 31 to meet the increasing demand of leisure and business travelers for air travel between the two cities.
The low-cost carrier said in a statement that its daily service will take off at Danang International Airport at 11:45 p.m. (local time) and arrive in Seoul at 6 a.m. (local time). The return flight will depart at 7 a.m. (local time) and land in Danang at 9:40 a.m. with a flying time of four hours 30 minutes.
To attract passengers to the Danang-Seoul and other routes, Vietjet will sell tickets from VND5,000 (15 U.S. cents) from noon to 2:00 p.m. at www.vietjetair.com from February 14 to 16. Passengers can use their debit and credit cards of Visa, MasterCard, JCB, KCP and American Express and ATM cards issued by 29 Vietnamese banks for online fare payment.
The carrier said the promotional tickets will be valid for its international flights from HCMC, Hanoi, Haiphong and Danang to Seoul, Busan, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Taipei, Taichung, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Yangon and Siem Reap from March 1 to December 12 this year, excluding national holidays. The fares will apply to the Danang-Seoul route from May 31 to December 31, 2017.
Danang-Seoul will be Vietjet’s 4th route between Seoul and Vietnam after the routes connecting HCMC, Hanoi and Haiphong with the Korean capital.
The airline now has a fleet of 44 aircraft, including A320s and A321s, operating 350 daily flights on 60 routes in Vietnam and international destinations such as Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, China and Myanmar.
