(Cinet)- Indian Tourism Minister Shri K Chiranjeevi has said he will work to promote cooperative ties with Vietnam in tourism. The Minister made the pledge during a visit to Vietnam ’s central province of Quang Nam on January 3. As part of the visit, he toured the world cultural heritage sites of My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An ancient town. Earlier the same day, Minister Shri K Chiranjeevi attended a seminar on trade and investment organised by the Embassy of India, the Vienamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He invited Vietnam to participate in the Indian International Tourism Mart which will be held later this month in Guwahati, India. A 3 million USD project funded by the Indian Government to restore temples at My Son will be started in the third quarter of this year. Also at the meeting in Da Nang on January 02, 2013 , will have two direct flights from India to Vietnam at the end of 2013. In the future , India will invest in the areas of health, education, culture, aviation, science, engineering, technology … to increase the value of bilateral trade between the two countries. In particular, India will send business delegation led by the Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Minister of Tourism of India…to Vietnam to explore investment opportunities and cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, ect.
